... in which our resident lyricist outlines the similarities between the primitive, blood sucking, parasitic fish and many owners of rental properties in California. Lampreys are anadromous eel-like, jawless creatures that spend most of their lives in river sediments filter feeding. They are more famously known for ther horrifying disc-shaped mouth and it's concentric rows of sharp, inward pointing teeth. Popularly caught by Yurok and other northern California tribes by means of a long hook dragged through the mouth of the Klamath River and twirled overhead. A technique every bit as bizarre as it sounds.
